The interesting thing is that the process until now was under the Citizens Recall and Initiative Act, and then suddenly switched to the Referendum Act. The BC government actually has to change the law so that the September 2011 vote on the Vander Zalm bill does not go ahead as a second vote after the referendum vote. http://bht.com/blog/hst/?page_id=18
